I am a post-doc in algebraic geometry at the Mathematisches Institut, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf.
I am a member of the Algebra and Number Theory research group and my supervisor is Benjamin Klopsch.
When in France, I am in Versailles and there I work with Nicolas Perrin.

During the academic year 2015/16 I was a postdoc at the Mathematisches Institut, Universität Basel,
where I was a member of the Algebra and Geometry research group. My supervisor there was Jérémy Blanc.

I obtained my PhD at the Department of mathematics, Imperial College London.
I was a member of to the Geometry group and my supervisor was Paolo Cascini.

During the last months of my PhD, I visited IMPA for the Thematic Program on Algebraic Geometry.

My research interests are in birational geometry, especially in Fano varieties, the geography of Mori fibre spaces, effectivity results for surfaces in positive characteristic and connected subgroups of the three-dimensional Cremona group.

    Poster competition: in March 2014 Diletta Martinelli and I won the First Prize at the Mathematics Department Poster Competition with the poster Minimal model program: contract your bad curves!

    Geometry Calendar: in December 2013 I organised with Andrea Petracci the charity calendar of the Geometry Group at Imperial College.
